In March, this year’s National Two Sessions are now in progress. This year will be a new starting point for the CCP 100th anniversary and a declaration of victory of entering a well-off society. It is also China’s 14th Five-Year Plan and China is set to double the total economic volume or per capita income by 2035. Therefore, this year’s Two Sessions is particularly important.
It is worth mentioning that during the provincial Two Sessions that just ended not long ago, blockchain has become a frequently used word in many provincial government reports and development plans. Beijing proposes to build a trusted digital infrastructure based on blockchain, establishes an international big data exchange centre, and promote the construction of advanced autonomous driving demonstration zones; while Shanghai emphasizes the need to focus on promoting digital transformation, and vigorously promotes the digitalization of the economy, daily life and governance etc.
So, how will the blockchain industry transform in 2021? Treelion summarized some blockchain-related proposals put forward by the representative members of the NPC and CPPCC committees.
Blockchain X network supervision
Yu Xinwei, member of the National Committee of the CPPCC, Vice Chairman of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Chairman of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Revolutionary Committee, will submit a proposal for “Strengthening online game supervision powered by blockchain and helping teenagers to form good online behaviours” at the NPC session. She pointed out that it is necessary to build a game supervision and management platform based on blockchain technology; and build a full life cycle management platform for game development based on blockchain.
Blockchain X enterprise collaborative ecology
Liu Feixiang, a representative of the NPC and Secretary of the Party Committee of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Group, suggested to use blockchain technology features such as decentralization, credibility, and efficiency to build an industrial blockchain for the construction machinery industry, asking companies to go on the chain, and establish an efficient collaborative ecosystem. The construction machinery industry blockchain alliance can be established under the guidance of the government and led by universities, blockchain companies, large-scale construction machinery manufacturing and logistics enterprises, etc. It will be responsible for the research on the standards and models, and formulating industrial blockchain data specifications, application specifications, smart contract specifications, information security specifications as well as coordinate alliance affairs. Liu Feixiang said that it is recommended to use blockchain technology to accelerate the integration of various data element markets for construction machinery, systematically promote the construction of industrial information infrastructure and data resource management systems, and the transformation of the industrial economy from high-speed growth to high-quality development.
Blockchain X medical information construction
In 2021, the National Two Sessions and the Taiwan League Central Committee recommends to use blockchain technology to promote the construction of medical informatization rationally. First, to establish a new model of medical information storage and sharing, and introduce credibility institutions, that is, third parties to endorse data security. Second, to realize real-time data sharing and promote close cooperation between medical consortia. Blockchain technology can achieve near-real-time data sharing in terms of data transmission speed and response time. Third, is to establish an efficient and reliable medical device and drug traceability system. Based on the non-tamperable modification and authenticity of information of blockchain technology, it can be traced back to the entire process of application, approval, purchase, acceptance, use, management, maintenance, repair, and scrapping of medicines, equipment and consumables, so that the hospital’s equipment and medicines procurement, management and configuration are more reasonable, and the information management of the entire process can be achieved.
