On February 28th, the Alliance of Blockchain Industry, Z-park (ABI) hosted ABI’s first meeting of the Second General Assembly in Beijing.
Treelion’s Executive Director Lu Qi announced the establishment of the “Decarbonization Industry Alliance” during the Assembly.
Following China’s development goals of reaching carbon emission peaking in 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality in 2060, the ABI proposed to establish the “Decarbonization Industry Alliance” under the ABI. The alliance will use blockchain and other digital technologies to connect government, enterprises, financial institutes, associations, etc. to jointly develop one of China’s leading “blockchain + decarbonization” organizations. The alliance will gather leading carbon-neutrality specialists, accelerate the development of blockchain underlying infrastructure applications, push for sharing of blockchain-related innovations, establish application standards, promote blockchain technology used in green finance, and further integrate blockchain technology with the economy.
Under the strong support of the ABI, related units, departments and enterprises, the alliance is moving forward its agenda swiftly. Treelion is a leading contributor to the founding of the alliance and its projects.
Treelion has gained the construction and operation rights to construct and maintain the Green Finance Backbone Node on the new integrated national blockchain and industrial online infrastructure (Blockchain Infrastructure & Facility). We are developing applications of digital carbon emission management tools and carbon footprint systems. In addition, we are also actively conducting academic exchanges with relevant institutions around the world.
Meanwhile, Treelion works closely with its strategic partner, the Elion Group, with over 30 years of sand control experience. Our Global Advisory Council is also advising us on the integration of low carbon technology and green finance and partnering us with strategic partners. Treelion is a cornerstone member and will take the alliance to a leading position in the “blockchain + decarbonization” area.
