On Earth Day this year, President Xi Jinping once again emphasized China’s commitment of peaking carbon emission by 2030 and arriving at carbon neutrality by 2060 at the “Leaders Summit on Climate”. He said: “China is committed to move from carbon peak to carbon neutrality in a much shorter time span than what might take many developed countries to achieve, and that requires extraordinarily hard efforts from China. The “3060” dual targets have been added to China’s overall plan of ecological conservation. We are now making an national action plan for this. “
In order to promote this goal, under the guidance of the national five-year scheme of “I am in action for the beautiful country” scheme (2021-2025) jointly promoted by the Center for Environmental Education and Communications of Ministry of Ecology (CEEC) and six other agencies, the CEEC and Elion International Investment Limited (Treelion) have signed a “Green Lifestyle” strategic cooperation agreement on 14th May, 2021, witnessed by Mr. Erik Solheim, Former Deputy-Secretary General of the United Nations and Former Executive Director of UNEP, both parties will jointly carry out a series of “Green Lifestyle” publicity campaigns.
Director of CEEC, Mr. Jia Feng said: “The Center’s mission has always been the promotion and education of environmental protection. How can we make our way of life greener and how can we make the next generation have a better world has always been difficult to promote, but now both of us are working together, using technology solutions to promote green lifestyle and expand the scheme to the whole country.”
CEEC and Elion International Investment confirm that two parties will use Treelion’s blockchain + big data + cloud computing and other technologies to create blockchain powered 3060 APP, a digital platform for green living and carbon reduction focus on energy saving, water conservation, pollution abatement, carbon reduction, eco-tourism, green consumption and other applications.
