January 31st, Treelion signed a memorandum of understanding with SGS. The two parties will build a long-term collaboration on areas including carbon trading and carbon certification and construct a comprehensive, stable, and deep strategic partnership to complement each other and achieve a win-win situation.
According to the MOU, the partnership will focus on the carbon asset trading mechanism, integrate both parties’ resources and technical advantages, and provide corporate-level and individual-level carbon-neutral solutions that integrate valid assets, reliable data, and information disclosure and supervision; meanwhile, the partnership will focus on the industry’s needs of the green development and the constraints of the dual carbon goals, push for further integration of blockchain technology and green asset certification services, and provide independent verification means and authoritative digital technology solutions for the realization of carbon neutrality goals.
The partnership is beneficial for the implementation of China’s overall and regional carbon reduction and carbon trading markets. Treelion, as a high-tech company focusing on providing “blockchain +” application solutions for governments and enterprises, will use its blockchain, AI, big data and other technologies to build a safe and reliable carbon asset creation, registration, management and trading platform, and endow green assets with value and liquidity. As the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, SGS will certify the green assets issued by the Treelion platform, and jointly develop training courses related to sustainable development to train professionals for the industry.
